Prologue

Why hello, internets. It’s nice to meet you; my name’s Amogh. “A what?” you ask? Amogh. Probably the most mispronounced and misconstrued name ever. But it’s ok, I’ve gotten used to “amahg”, “amoog”, as well as “amough” (that’s ‘ough’ as in ‘tough’). My wonderfully unique name has also come with its fair share of nicknames, ranging from “Amoghie-Hoagie”, “Amoghinator”, or my personal favorite, “Moghly”.

That said, welcome to The Jungle Book, a new age chronicle of a modern “man-cub” : yours truly. My own edition of Rudyard Kipling’s renowned collection of stories will essentially be an assembly of  my own experiences, thoughts, and observations of the jungle we live in today. There are already many tales to tell and undoubtedly many more to come. But, for now, “since brevity is the soul of wit, and tediousness the limbs and outward flourishes, I will be brief” (Hamlet II.ii.86-92).

Into the jungle, I shall proceed.
